Sporty-Cool Wedding in Italy: when tennis meets tulle (and it works)

What happens when a tennis racket meets a couture gown?

No scandal — just one of the coolest weddings ever seen in Sorrento, entirely imagined and orchestrated by our studio from A to Z.

Sporty, yes. But with style. And a tablescape that makes you say: “save me a seat.”

Welcome to Jess & Nicholas’s wedding.

Location: Sorrento.

Mental dresscode: match point, but make it fashion.

The concept: a (stylistically) serious game

When they told us “we kind of like the idea of a tennis touch,” we thought:

sure — but the Tusset way.

No country club clichés, no random tennis balls.

Just intentional details designed to slip seamlessly into the aesthetic storyline — without screaming “theme.”

Red rackets as bold visual elements

A vitamin-packed floral story with live-cut blooms and citrus arranged like sculpture

A dinner party with a view of Mount Vesuvius, tambourines and a live sax at sunset

We call it sporty-chic with a side of irony.

A bit like if Wes Anderson and Jacquemus co-designed a wedding — except we did it.

The design: bold, fresh, unconventional

Every element — from the palette to the tablescape — was carefully thought through, designed and executed by us.

The color palette?

Mandarin, cream, blush pink, and a few shock accents.

Fresh, radiant, and absolutely not “from the catalogue.”

The shapes?

All irregular.

Flowers that seem to dance.

Citrus everywhere (but artfully placed).

Chairs: white iron, curved like the perfect serve.

The table?

A visual playground.

Every plate a mini photo set.

Each name engraved on a tambourine.

(Because yes — a place card can also make noise.)

The direction: no boredom, full experience

The wedding day unfolded with a rhythm that was carefully calibrated but never stiff.

Every moment was custom-designed by us to flow naturally into the next:

 Intimate garden ceremony

 Cocktail hour with live sax

Sunset dinner with a view and a show

Party with black-and-white flash photos and flying napkins

Every detail was crafted to tell their story — with style, rhythm, and coherence.

Even the contrast between the bride’s elegance and the way she held that racket so effortlessly.

Actually: especially that.

And if there’s a way to know it all worked? Just listen to the bride:

“I can’t thank you enough for helping me plan that incredible weekend, it has greatly exceeded my expectations! Us and our guests had so much fun and I am so grateful that you selected such excellent vendors for us! The flowers and decor really wowed our guests, I had friends telling me that both the ceremony and reception setup were the best they’ve ever seen! You often hear about something always going wrong at a wedding, but I felt the day went by so smoothly. My only wish is that it lasted longer! We all enjoyed ourselves so much that everything went by so quickly.”

The Coolest Tip™

If your first thought is “this detail doesn’t belong at a wedding,”

it might actually be the perfect place to start.

(We did it. And it worked.)
